The Lift Off Project is a programme of intensive support for our graduating students to allow them to make a smooth transition from student to professional performer.

 

The project begins before they graduate with performance opportunities at Watch This Space, Zirkus Plus in Barrow-in-Furness and Latitude Festival.  Post-graduation we offer a programme of mentoring; a series of presentations on subjects such as International Touring, making an Arts Council Application and building relationships with venues; access to workshops and seminars with creative leaders as well as a wide range of performance opportunities.

 

The Lift Off Project really helped me, not only by booking me for gigs and performances, but also by giving me the confidence to put myself out there as a professional performer. I don't think I would have half of the work I do now without that help at the beginning.
