Always wanted to learn how to somersault, walk on your hands or stand on somebody’s shoulders? Yes - then you’ve found the perfect place to learn acrobatic skills. Taught by qualified teachers these acrobatic classes and courses are great fun and highly rewarding.
Please note that all new acrobatic students to TCS (of any level) must attend the Acrobatic Induction Class prior to doing any acrobatic class or course with us. (See Acrobatic Induction below)

The Acrobatic Induction Class will briefly cover an introduction to TCS, your health & safety and the different types of acrobatics taught at TCS. In this class you will also try acrobatic tumbling and balancing, handstands and trampette. At the end of the class the teacher having assessed your level will be able assign you a level and to recommend the appropriate classes for you.The induction class must be attended by anyone who has not previously attended acrobatic classes at TCS, no matter what their previous acrobatic experience is. If you have not been to TCS for 2-years or over you will also need to retake the induction class. Advanced booking is highly recommended, as this class is very popular.

Having completed an Acrobatic Induction students will need to buy a carnet to book into classes. The carnet consists of 6-classes, which must be used within three-months of purchasing the carnet.Skill Specific Acrobatic Cources
Regularly on Thursday evenings and occasionally on other evenings, we run short 7-8 week skill specific courses for Intermediate or above students. These include courses concentrating on front somersaults and back-flips, acrobatics tricks and Double Dutch courses.
Backflip Course 2008
Thursdays 19th June - 7th August (intermediate +) (8-weeks)
8.00pm Warm up and 8.15-9.45pm in the Acrobatic Studio
Price: £104 / £84 concessionThe backflip course is designed for students with a sound physical and spatial knowledge in acrobatics at an Intermediate Level
The course will teach students the technique, power and confidence to achieve a basic backflip from stage 1
Please Note: You will not be taught backflips in the intermediate classes until you have attended this courseRequirements: Students must be signed off by a teacher to attend this course prior to booking
Experience: - Must be an established intermediate level student to do this course
Skills: - Able to hold a good strong handstand with support
- Push up to bridge and hold with straight arms
Somersault Course 2008
Saturdays 21st June - 9th August (Beginner +) (8-weeks)
11.45am Warm up and 12.00-1.30pm in the Acrobatic Studio
Price: £104 / £84 concessionThe somersault course is designed for students with a sound physical knowledge and aerial awareness in acrobatics at a Beginner Level
The course will teach students the technique, aerial awareness and confidence to achieve a basic front and back somersault.
Requirements: Students must be authorised and signed off by a teacher to attend this course prior to booking.
Experience: Must be established beginner level student to do this course
Skills: Able to do a good dive roll from trampette and be confident with aerial trampette work
Tricks & Somersault Course 2008
Saturdays 21st June - 9th August (intermediate +) (8-weeks)
10.15am Warm up and class 10.30 – 12.00pm
Price: £104 / £84The Tricks + Somersault course is designed for students with a sound physical knowledge and aerial awareness in acrobatics at an Intermediate/Advanced Level.
The course will teach students the basic techniques, aerial awareness and confidence to achieve The Butterfly, 'Kick the Moon', and Side Sumi, Sumi off the wall. The course will also maintain and nurture techniques used for the Front/Back somersaults.
Entry Requirements:
Experience: Must be an established intermediate level student and have completed 1 Somersault course.
Skills: - Good Front and Back Somersault from trampette.
- Confident and high level of aerial trampette work.
Students must be signed off by a teacher to say they can attend the course.
